ALL patterns are created in PDF format and archived in .ZIP format.

I CAN'T OPEN MY PATTERN!?
My patterns are sent to you as a PDF file and may corrupt in transit.  I can resend the file to you in a zipped format.
The file name will remain the same, just that it will have a .zip extension. The file name will look like xxxxxx.zip
This means that the file is compressed and needs to be unpacked/decompressed/unzipped before it can be opened in Adobe Acrobat.
The most commonly used zipping programs will be able to unpack the file to your hard drive. You will need to save the pattern to an
easily locatable folder on your hard drive once it is unzipped then the file can be opened in Adobe Acrobat. The file
will now look like xxxxxx.pdf

ADOBE SAYS THAT THE FILE FORMAT IS WRONG!?

Patterns have been created in Adobe Acrobat 7. If you have an earlier version of Acrobat, please update it to the
latest release. Older versions of Acrobat CANNOT open my pattern files. I do not have the resources to save files in
previous formats. Please go to Adobe to dowload the latest free version of Adobe Reader.

WHAT SIZE DOLLS WILL YOUR PATTERNS FIT?
My patterns have been desinged to fit the doll specifically named on the pattern. An exception to this rule would be
Fashion Royalty patterns which may fit Silkstones with some modification. Please note that any pattern listed
for Fashion Royalty dolls are for the taller bodies. Patterns for the shorter pre 2006 bodies
will continue to be released and marked as such. Model Behaviour patterns will be released as time permits.
Homme patterns are currently on the drawing board.

DO YOU MAKE PATTERNS FOR LARGER DOLLS LIKE TYLER & GENE?

In short... no. I exclusively make clothing for one larger scale doll which is Elizabet & Kotalin Bizelle by Jozef Szekeres.
I may create patterns for Sybarite and AvantGuards dolls if/as I obtain them.

CAN BEGINNER SEWERS USE YOUR PATTERNS?

My patterns have been designed for those who have at least an intermediate knowledge of sewing as there can be some
awkward pattern pieces to put together. My patterns do not come with pictures on how to construct the garment.
Instructions are currently entirely in text format.

WHAT PAPER SIZE DO I USE?

In Australia, we do not have legal size paper. Your pattern has been created to be printed out on A4 size paper.
A4 is not legal size.  The below graphic shows the differences between paper sizes. Legal sizing is shown in red.
Your pattern can still be printed out on legal paper, just remember to set Abobe Acrobat to print out at 100%. Your
pattern will print out within the boundaries of US Legal paper (see next question below).

MY PATTERN IS A LITTLE TOO SMALL!?
In Adobe Acrobat, check prior to printing that the pattern is at 100% scaling. Ensure that the 'Page Scaling' drop down box
says 'None' in the 'Print' command window (click 'file' then 'print' to get this window). If the 'Page Scaling' drop down box says anything
other than 'None',  the pattern will not print out to the correct size, it will be a fraction too small on all pattern pieces.
To check if the
pattern has printed out to the right size, use the small measurement guides at the bottom left corner of each pattern page.
They measure 5cm x 5cm. Please check that this is the correct length in both directions after you print out the pattern.

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS ON MAKING UP YOUR PATTERNS?

First and foremost, regardless of which pattern companies pattern you are using.... TOILE THE PATTERN FIRST! We all sew
differently and it is best to test the pattern out on cheap fabric and make any personal modifications on that cheapie rather than
cut into expensive and/or vintage fabric to find out that you need to make an adjustment. This is also HIGHLY advisable if
you are wishing to use a Fashion Royalty pattern on a Silkstone.

CAN I STILL PURCHASE RETIRED PATTERNS?

Once a pattern is retired, that is it. A pattern that is retured usually does so after the 'taste' for that fashion has passed.
It may come back into the collection at a later date if fashion dictates that it needs to return!

CAN I USE VELCRO FOR CLOSURES ON YOUR PATTERNS?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! There is not enough seam allowance at the centre back of my patterns for velcro and I personally hate the stuff.
Velcro can make a beautiful garment look very cheap and nasty. It can also damage the dolls hair if caught in the tiny hooks. Please
consider using tiny zippers, snaps, eyelets or hooks/eyes for closures. The back seams of most of my patterns are straight which
makes insertion of tiny zippers or the use of eyelets a lot easier. By all means you can attempt to use velcro with my patterns, but I
cannot and will not be held responsible for the final garment fit and/or look if you do so.
